"Almost three years. I came here when I was fifteen."

It barely feels that it's been that long. Almost as though he had arrived just the other day. But the events that have passed, the things he has seen and done and experienced--they all added up to three years of being anywhere but home. Three years of making this more of a home than Camp had been at times. Three years of building another life.

"It's why I started looking at schools. Who knows how much longer I'll be here, but I want to keep working with the local clinic. You kind of need school for that."
