As she explains, he feels...odd. He's a jealous sort in a lot of ways, but he can't really say he's ever been in a position like this. However, he does feel a rise of defensiveness, because it's not that he didn't say them sleeping together wasn't a big deal, he just said...his injury wasn't.

However, there's definitely a warm flutter in his chest when she says it was a big deal for her. Something he clearly should have known, considering how that all went down, how into it she was, how she said his name...but he can't help but be touched by that admission, by that validation.]
