WHAT: Rupert reveals his biggest secret yet
WARNINGS: God I hope a content warning isn't necessary
[ If asked by anyone else at a later date, this is something to do with having a good alibi and that's all. If push comes to shove and Rupert can prove that all of his disappearances over the past few months have been for Horse Reasons and not because he's been hunting cryptids for Mr Eccentric Billionaire then that takes a significant pressure off his back. And the existence of Ottilie isn't a lie, it's just a well-guarded secret; with only a handful of fellow imPorts who know that she exists and absolutely none of the livery yard staff knowing that Rupert is an imPort, it has all worked out rather well. And it's fun to let people in on this most harmless "secret" ever.
Rupert, dressed in uncharacteristically scruffy jeans and t-shirt, portals them both into a shadowy end of the stable's haystore where nobody but the yard's sleepy cat can see them. Stepping into the dusty warmth of the dimly lit barn he extends a helping hand to Cece to guide her through the short jump from one part of America to another. ]
It's probably the least dramatic secret in history, I know, [ He finishes his explanation as to why they're not portalling somewhere more public. ] But we ImPorts play out our entire lives for all the world to see. It's nice to keep a simple pleasure to one's self for once.
