And he's still the child he and that other person with the giant bug on their head demanded to destroy the world. He's still the child that, apparently, had this whole destiny thing planned out for him with no input of his own. He's still somewhere who found out he was supposed to be something, and he chose not to be.

He doesn't know Gabriel, but Gabriel doesn't know him either. But that doesn't actually have to mean anything, what they know and who they are, if he actually tried to listen.

I know we're both here. Us and a bunch of people that didn't get to choose if they wanted to come here or not.

I know you don't care what happens back home as long as you get to fight the other guys. But we're not there right now.

[ Dog looks up at the boy, but makes no other motion. Adam continues in the same even tone.]

If you wanna keep thinking that you're better than anyone else, I guess you can. But you're going stay alone that way.
