It is, in fact, one of Andy's least favorite things on God's green earth to get a call right at the end of her fucking shift. The torturously mundane day-to-day of being a police officer is something made bearable only by the fact that she spends almost every shift with her partner — a man whose special skills happen to include "making Andy's life more bearable." But Rex is up to his chin in paperwork (half Andy's fault, because she can never be bothered to do hers properly), and while it's probably against protocol for an officer to investigate a call alone, Andy does it anyway.

She pulls up to the house where the supposed "pervert" has broken in, then makes her way to the backyard with a distinct lack of urgency and a dwindling cigarette hanging from the corner of her mouth. The ideal picture of protect and serve.

As she approaches, she calls out a bit flatly, "MFPD. Nobody do anything stupid. I don't get paid nearly enough to deal with stupid."
