Being Spider-Man's legal guardian is tough work...
WHO: Peter Parker & Quentin Beck
WHERE: At Beck's apartment, De Chima
WHEN: Just after David leaves
WHAT: We need to talk. Again.
WARNINGS: Manipulative tactics; emotional abuse; the usual FFH spoilers.
After being confronted by David, Beck was rattled. He could ruin everything. Both David and Marco - he regarded them as troublemakers, disturbing his peace. He felt his hold on Peter was already tentative and could break at any time but these two were actively cutting the string and he was losing control of this entire scenario - and he hated that more than anything.
He could do very little about it. They would likely both talk to Peter, but he hopes that the teen arrives home very soon, so he can get a chance to say something first.
And so he waits, orders the usual batch of pizzas and attempts to look less stressed out. It doesn't work entirely and once Peter shows up, it is clear on his face that something is wrong.
