"Projection, yeah," he nods a little. He knows that file says he can outright manipulate other people this way, but he isn't sure he's got anything like enough of a handle on it to try that yet. Feels like too much of a thing of finesse, which he's nowhere near with any of this yet.
Except... where does he even start with that, either? There's a million things going on lately, and he isn't entirely sure of how he feels about a lot of it. He bites his lip for a second in thought. The most obvious thing in the world is Vanya. She's back and there is so much to unpack about that. But he really, really doesn't want to go down that road, either.
All his dithering really only manages to make the subtle cloud of hesitation rise up to the surface. He feels it first in a bubbly pressure in his chest and then in his head, like he's focusing entirely on just that feeling. He blinks, surprised at the way it seemed so easy to do that, when he really isn't thinking of it at all. Maybe that's part of the problem? He tries not to think about it for the moment, though, focusing hard on that weird bubbly feeling, like champagne in his head.
He has had less luck in this particular aspect of this power than the sensing. That's so much easier, and the problem with it is blocking it out. This, though... it's weirder to try to do. He tries to picture it like a physical shove, but twisted mental, a ghost of the real thing. He knows it must look completely stupid, he can feel the frown creasing his forehead, knows he looks entirely too serious for all the nothing he's really doing on the outside and--
He scoffs and shakes his head, "This is stupid." he mutters, already vexed. He can't help feeling self-conscious with this, which is part of the reason he hasn't taken Klaus up on his offer to try and train their powers together; he worries Klaus would turn too many parts of it into a joke, the way he has a tendency to do with so many things, and Diego knows he can't handle the possibility of that at all right now.
