[Gabby is ready to hit the lake, but there's one problem. Jonathan, her actual real life pet wolverine, won't stop following her. Gabby stops and turns towards him, kneeling to scratch his head.]
I told you Jonathan, it's not safe! You gotta stay here!
[Jonathan grunts and nuzzles her cheek. Gabby sighs, wrapping her arms around him.]
It's safe for me. I can't get hurt, remember? I'll be fine.
[Jonathan makes another grunting noise and puts his paws on her shoulders. He looks as worried as a ferocious beast that was never meant to be a pet can look.]
I know. You're still my partner! Just stay back and protect the civilians, okay? I'll be back soon. Promise.
B. Revenants
It's unclear whether Gabby knew about the revenants before she hit the lake or not. What is clear is that she's clearly having the time of her life fighting them. Both her claws are out and she's stabbing anything that gets too close, cackling as each attack makes the boat rock further.
Another attack or two and she may overturn it. But it's probably fine.
C. Tessie
When Gabby finds Tessie, it doesn't take much looking for her to take a side. Sad, possibly dying sea monster or aggressive townsfolk/imPorts? Not a hard choice at all. She sets up a perimeter, staying far enough away from Tessie so as hopefully not to scare her more, and starts patrolling. Whenever anyone gets too close, she swims over to intercept, holding up a hand and staring through her goggles.
"Stop! She's not a monster, she's just hurt! She wants to be left alone!"
Can one preteen girl singlehandedly save a monster? Gabby knows one thing: she's gonna find out.
