PETER PARKER, the photo booth, carnival start to early afternoon
[A little more high tech than your usual old timey carnival photo booth, this one's got a green screen backdrop and a rack of clothes arrayed by theme: the Wild West, 1920's gangsters, pirates, and in keeping with the goal of the carnival, imports. Amongst others, there's a boxy configuration of red and yellow foam that's presumably Iron Man, a red and blue costume with teardrop-shaped cutouts in the mask, a rich purple suit in an old-fashioned cut complete with complimentary waistcoat and ruffled cravat, and several sizes of a military uniform in light earth tones with all manner of steampunkish straps and buckles -- getting into and out of one of those should be interesting.
The front display shows a choice of theme-appropriate backdrops for the green screen, as well as options to get prints in standard, sepia, or halftone effect. It's a shame the screen is cracked and worn almost white in places, and the plastic covers on the display are warped and a bit dingy-looking despite Peter's best attempts to clean up with a bit of elbow grease.
Even at this early hour there's a steady trickle of locals in and out of the booth, but at the down times Peter's perched on a stool behind the displays -- woolgathering, though he'll perk up if anyone comes to speak to him.]
SPIDER-MAN, early afternoon
[Spider-Man was meant to be demonstrating his powers: lifting a few heavy objects here, some target shooting with webbing pellets there, maybe even some sedate leap-frog rides for the kiddies. Instead he appears to be sitting cross-legged in the grass with a passel of children, teaching them cat's cradle using his web-lines.]
