[ It's not so much the appeal of a party or, well, the enjoyment of others' company that prompts Ruka to accept the open invitation. It's not curiosity about Aegis Force in and of itself, either. No, her reasons are simple, and — as usual for Ruka — inherently depressing or distressing to talk about, so she deliberately steers clear of group conversations that seem directed that way. Feelings are gross!!
Ruka arrives in relatively easy costume: gauze and bandages cover her dress from hem to hem, hiding the real garment completely under the artifice of a mummy's binds. They wrap around her arms in spirals, denser from the elbows down, but where her fingers emerge are still covered by the red fabric of her gloves. Her head and face is bandaged, too, hiding her bad eye and its patch completely beneath bandages, and most of her hair is wrapped up and obscured as well. There's a few stray locks of pale green hair that stick out from between the layers, remaining recognizable to those who've met her. The costume ends well above the knees, and the strappy gladiator-style high-heel sandals aren't very seasonally appropriate, but That's Just How She Is.
The "mummy" isn't the most social of party guests — she spends more time than most flipping through the provided literature and pamphlets on the organization and its work, and fussing extensively with the decorative holograms, and squinting suspiciously at the winter holiday trimmings. She's also checking her communicator with obnoxious frequency.
It's been a few years since there's been an outright zombie outbreak on Halloween, but that's no reason to get comfortable. ]
