Anders liked going out and just seeing the cities, since he actually had that freedom. He didn't have to constantly look over his shoulder for Templars waiting to arrest him. ImPorts were only punished if they misused their powers, and not just for something they might do. Anders was still unused to the locals treating him with awe upon seeing him and realizing he was an ImPort.

The mage took a break from his walk to sit at a large fountain, listening to the water splash. Usually you had to go to Orlais to see a fountain as nice.

A sudden gust of wind knocked a bird off course and its wing clipped part of the fountain's statue, causing it to fall into the water. Anders immediately ran into the water to retrieve it, cradling it in his hands. The mage walked back out of the fountain, blue magic pouring out of his hands and into the bird.

The bird got up like nothing happened and flew out of Anders' hands.
