Gently, but without hesitation, she reaches out to rest her small hand atop his. You don't have to be afraid, I'm here. I won't judge. She keeps silent and let him talk. Occasionally she's unable to keep a wince out off her face at what the Doctor tells her. So many foolish decisions. So many things she could have stopped. Or tried to mitigate. She understands, at least, why Edgeworth was so cross. A small part of her is cross at the Doctor for leaving her in the dark. But that's neither here nor there for now.

She inhales and opens her mouth and then pauses, struggling to find the words. Terrible for an English teacher, really. She should always have words. Another exhale before she continues, her voice kind but a little sad. "I can see why he's cross with you. Always trying to control."
