He smiles back, but... it's not as enthusiastic as Jonathan's. He can't imagine how the poor guy must feel-- it's hard enough wanting to hide away when you're part of the majority race.

"Yeah. I know for sure a lot of people like you..." he says, trailing off a little. Hesitates for a few minutes.
