β™› HOME & GARDEN SHOP
[ With summer edging closer day by day, Haru realizes she needs to take advantage of such glorious weather conditions and begin working on her garden in the back of her house. While she has plans to eventually move out, it's another box on her checklist to complete at a later time ― once she's more situated and financially secure, that is. For now, getting back to gardening is what she's been keen on since she's arrived. ]

[ After a long day at work, her first pit stop on the way home is the local home and garden shop. She makes the mistake of implying to the employees inside she doesn't require help, so they let her be completely. She's not completely lost inside the building; she heads straight toward the area where the raised beds are kept. With some assembled to show what they look like, Haru takes her time roaming up and down the floor, examining the cedar closely to ensure it's the correct one she wants. There are additional choices between Vermont white cedar, Port Orford cedar and Juniper, so she needs to mull over her decision before she finally makes one.

It's then she realizes she should have requested assistance from one of the employees, all of whom are in opposite ends of the store. Haru could go over and ask one for help, but as she looks over the large box with the pieces of cedar she needs to assemble together, she comes to the conclusion she can lift it on her own.

It's a bit of a struggle, but she manages to get half the box down from its place on the shelf before she finds herself stuck in that position. If she moves too far back, the whole thing may come down and either hit her or fall to the floor and something may break.

      ...oops. ]

[ She makes a second trip to the shop another day, this time with a utility shopping cart in tow. This time, the shop employees are ready to assist her as they remembered the five-foot-something girl struggling to carry product almost as heavy as she is around. They help her load a large bag of soil into her cart and once she's done paying, she makes her attempt to lug it out of there. Once again, it's a bit of an effort, but she turns down their offers to help as she has no car for them to load it into.

She manages to get outside the store before she finds the wheels caught in a wide crack on the pavement, stalling the cart. Haru groans trying to lift it out of the gap, but it remains in place. ]

      Oh, dear.

β™› NONAH PUBLIC LIBRARY
[ On other days, the cool retreat of the library is a welcome one. Haru has already registered a card with the library and now that she's done returning a couple of books borrowed for fun and light reading, she heads into the aisle where she can find books that will help her understand running a business better. She's always had the resources and the people around her to help back home, but in this world, she has to begin anew. Her dream isn't deterred, though she realizes she needs to be much more pragmatic about the idea and then execution here. She isn't entirely certain how things are done in America, so she figures the library is a good place to start.

Of course, it would be nice if she could reach the books she wants. At some point, she'll happen across the closest person, tapping on their shoulder delicately to draw their attention. ]

Excuse me. I'm sorry to disturb you, but would you mind helping me out for a moment?

β™› RESIDENTIAL AREA | LOCKED to the first responder GORO MAJIMA
[ Somehow Haru forgets she's a Phantom Thief ― agile, graceful, capable of feats your average human isn't.

She gets so caught up in a poor young girl's plea that she takes it upon herself to help her out. The dilemma, she encounters on a walk home from work this evening, is the girl's cat got out of her house and found itself stuck in a tall, thick tree. The girl, with her arm in a sling, stood there sobbing until Haru happened upon her, catching her by surprise as she was buried in the network on her communicator.

"You're an imPort, right? You have to help me then! I'll be grounded for the rest of my life if my dad finds out I let the cat out!" Followed by, "Pleasepleaseplease!"

Thus, Haru finds herself stuck in the tree after she manages to get the cat to come down. She's climbed too high for a safe trip back down, and the branch she had used for leverage has bent in a way that makes it difficult to support her weight without snapping in half. She sits awkwardly on a branch, a hand pinning her skirt against her legs so she doesn't accidentally reveal too much, watching the young girl run off with her cat in tow. She attempts to call to her, but her voice doesn't reach. ]

    Wait! Please come back!

β™› GROCERY STORE | for GORO AKECHI
[ It's a fairly quiet evening, even for the local grocery. The lines are short and quick and the aisles sparse with shoppers, making it a prime opportunity to shop in peace. Haru enjoys the lack of urgency, being able to look through the various shelves at her own pace, not having to worry about snatching up something that's on sale or is almost out of stock. The past few weeks of having to shop for herself have been a strange, but somewhat fun experience. She doesn't have to fret over treating herself to something sugary or salty only to be berated after by her father or Sugimura for "not watching" her weight.

However, tonight she isn't here for any guilty pleasure foods, just the necessities. She has bread, milk, cheese, and all that's left to pick up is water. Once everything's in her cart, she heads straight to the checkout and watches as the boy bags up all her groceries.

He makes it seems so effortless, because Haru is having trouble balancing the two large cartons of water she bought in either hand. Being so short doesn't help either, the bag on occasion nearly dragging along the floor. The weight of the water also stretches the cheap plastic, so as Haru attempts to raise the bag higher so it isn't on the floor, one of them rips apart completely and tumbles directly below onto someone's foot walking by.

    Sorry, Akechi. ]
