[ Welcome home, residents of Heropa 15! Or maybe you don't live here, maybe you know someone who does, and stopped by for a quick hello...a cup of coffee...something more urgent than that, even? Whoever you are and whatever you're doing here, you are blocked off from the kitchen for what, at least at first glance, appears to be a murder.
It isn't, of course, it's just a lot of red paint. And knives. With red paint on them. In order to achieve an authentic blood spatter pattern for his latest piece, Yusuke has taken to swinging knives around in the kitchen in front of his canvas.
Don't worry, the appliances, cabinets, and whatnot are all lines with protective plastic. He's not a weirdo. ]
Do you think I should go with a darker color?

[ Yusuke's in a zoo. Or an aquarium. Or out in the woods or the park or some such nonsense, that's not important. The important thing is that somehow, someway, whether it was a hot date or a bizarre coincidence, Yusuke and another person are face to face with an animal.
And it's beautiful.
Those feathers! Or scales? Are the most incredible thing he's ever seen, and he's not about to allow anyone else to take this magical, spiritual connection from him. To an outsider, it just looks like a tall, noodly eighteen year old trying to have a staring contest with a creature far less invested in this relationship than he is, but it's about the journey. Okay?
He presses a finger to the other person's lips, ensuring, that at least for a few more seconds, they don't make a sound. ]

[ Yusuke also goes to school. He isn't as invested in it as he used to be, back at Kosei, but he figures he should graduate from some school, even if it isn't the one he'd planned on. He tends to go missing for a week here and there, thanks to groundhogs day shenanigans, criminal investigations, haunted houses, or trips to Disneyworld. That's fine, really, the coursework isn't nearly as rigorous as what he's used to...actually, it seems everyone is slacking off, even the natives. It's nearly the end of senior year, and everyone is just running out of steam, or is just generally over it.
How strange.
Catch Yusuke in the library, or during lunch time, or if you like it old school, pass notes? ]
