Poe had been going to the Rogue One house as often as possible since he'd returned, to check on Cassian and the others. It wasn't as often as he liked - as work had him on base most days quite late, and so it was all he could do to go home and pass out.

But he still made an effort.

The first time he'd noticed Cassian was gone was when he went to the house after Kay and Bodhi had left for Odin's island, and not found anyone at home. He'd tried to send Cassian a message to see where he was, but got a notification to say that the number was no longer in service. He knew what that meant.

He tried not to worry about it, for a few days. He'd come back, after all, there was no reason that Cassian wouldn't. But a few days passed and Cassian's number still didn't connect.

He wasn't entirely sure why he had to go check the house one more time. Something about the possibility of Cassian coming in under a different name, or a different number, but there was a chance that he could show up without Poe knowing. He hadn't told Bodhi or Kaytoo about Cassian being missing (knew that Kaytoo must have had an idea, thanks to the trackers), but the longer it went the more he felt responsible for doing so.

So.

One last attempt.

He let himself into the house with very little fanfare - he'd had a set of keys for a while and often walked in like it was his own house, anyway. Today, a small, round, white and orange droid rolled in behind him, burbling in binary and asking if Poe wanted him to scan for Cassian.

"It's alright, buddy, I've got it." He closed the door behind him and stepped further into the house, calling out as he did so. "Hey, Cass, want to pull a miracle on me and tell me that you're back?"
