WHO: STILES STILINSKI, LYDIA MARTIN, DEREK HALE, and NICK BURKHARDT WHERE: Residence #023, Police Station WHEN: Week of July 15 WHAT: Stiles and Lydia being a detective team (again). WARNINGS: Stalking
[ derek's gaze cuts to mitchell, suspicious. there isn't blood on it, and derek didn't get the chance to answer, and it's not totally clear whether he's irritated about being upstaged or about not knowing exactly what mitchell is. either way, priorities. ]
What were you two even planning to do with what you found?
[ which...might be derek unintentionally taking mitchell's side, but he honestly isn't sure what they do at this point. they found a giant sketchy weapon, but derek still has to live in the next room, and would like to not be skewered by a scythe. ]
[ yes, he is so into this. he needs derek and mitchell to go away because their impressions of the grumpy peanut gallery muppets are harshing his mulder and scully buzz. ]
It's inscribed, too. Doesn't that strike you as kinda ritualistic?
[in the tone of kids these days. Mitchell takes a step back, hands up, like he's absolving himself of all blame here (and also consequently ignoring Derek and any suspicious looks). Inscriptions are a little weird, but also this is bloody ridiculous.]
Look, I'll say it again, since you're all hard of hearing: he's not a serial killer. The actual logistics of killing someone with a scythe--just think about that for a second. That's all movie bullshit. But hey, if he was a serial killer, imagine how pissed he'll be when he gets home and you're all hanging out in his room holding his ritualistic scythe.
[And that's as much defence as he's going to give Nick right now; sorry Nick. Time to retreat back to his room. One last thing, to Derek:]
Make sure they don't go in anyone else's rooms. Unless they want to check all the cupboards for scythes, then they're definitely allowed.

[ she grabs it back from derek at that point, looking the scythe over. ]
Blood or no blood, he's stuffing deadly weapons into closet, and I for one plan on figuring out why before it winds up in somebody's back.

/hops out of order for this
[ basically: yes, stiles, it does, but lydia is just a little freaked out about it and happily coping by being a sasshole. ]
wow!!
