Some of what he details follows the history of "her" Superboy, but not the part where the not-Teen Titans come in and rescue him. Superboy debuted on his own not too long after Superman's death ― along with a few others. Long story short, everyone was claiming to be the new Superman. From what she can recall, his hair was tacky, he sported sunglasses, and a cocky attitude that could have given a younger Wally West a run for his money, maybe.
This Superboy is much more subdued. It's jarring how stoic he comes off. Is it meeting her or something else?
After her initial surprise passes, Peej can't help a frown at his commentary about who his family is. Good the team is, but not so good he doesn't see Kal as family.
