[ Once in a while, Jenny lets herself indulge the eight-year-old still buried deep down inside of her. Despite all her talk about dictatorships and cosmic powers, the truth is, the girl consciously cut out the majority of her childhood, and once in a while, when nobody is looking, it's nice to indulge the child that had abruptly been interrupted for the sake of saving the world. It shows in little ways -- the bright hair clips she wears, or the stuffed animals she used to keep. But today, with the Florida heat beating down, Jenny goes for ice cream.
