[OPEN] Nikolai and Feelings: Round One

WHO: Nikolai and you!
WHERE: All over the Porter cities.
WHEN: 22nd to the 25th.
WHAT: ~Introspection~. Bouncing around the Porter cities. Pickpocketing. Avoiding his castmates like a boss.
WARNINGS: Abandonment and trust issues. Niko's past thefts in canon.

If he steals from you, let me know if you want it back.

1 - Feelings are hard.
He's in a park somewhere that's not Heropa, chucking small wooden barbs at a tree with a thunderous expression. He'd run as soon as he could after leaving Mutt with Red. It'd been against his better judgement, but it wasn't like he could stuff her in a pokeball for the next ... however long it took to clear his head and get it back on straight.

He'd like to think throwing the barbs at the tree helped, but no. It was more because he needed an outlet, and getting into random fights wasn't the best idea ever. Mostly because he doesn't want his hand hurt again, and also because he doesn't care to have another knife pulled on him. He knew he'd probably left it too late to complain about being almost shanked for a harmless shove. He should have spoken up sooner - or something.

No. He'd have gotten the same reaction. People couldn't be trusted or relied on, and it was stupid to think they could. It all left a bitter, horrid taste in his mouth. Adults -people- couldn't be trusted. He'd learned that three years ago when he was eleven; learned that he didn't need anyone.

Even a hint of a trusting people was a Bad Idea. It messed with his head, made him weak and made him lose sight of his goals to be The greatest trainer the world had ever seen. He didn't like it at all, and the next barb he loosed was metal, and it sunk deep into the tree.

"I don't need anyone!" That is far more a petulant snarl than he'd like, but at least he's stopped making barbs to throw at the poor tree. No, he's going to go and start to yank them out. Or, well. Try.

The thing about hooked barbs? Sometimes they get stuck. "Oh, come on!"

-and one foot against the tree as he yanks with both hands- Yea. He's probably going to stumbling back into someone- you. If he doesn't end up on his arse, that is.

2 - Picking pockets.
He's out of money, and he needs to eat. He's stolen before- at least two pokemon back home, and a hoverboard here. All because he wanted them, and he's probably stolen other things.

Ergo, he's turned to pickpocketing of all things, though he does steer clear of those he knows. How hard can stealing money be?

He's not picky with his targets; as long as they look like he could lift a wallet or they have money on them, he'll give it a shot. But, he is refraining from using his pokemon to help. They attract attention, and that's the last thing he wants.

While his theme song's on a solid mute, how successful he's going to be is anyone's guess, more so if he targets a fellow imPort.

3 - General and all over the place.
When he's not inflicting destruction on innocent trees, or trying his hand at pickpocketing, Nikolai can be found messing around with his hoverboard, either at a skate park doing tricks or tearing up and down a half-pipe in an attempt to get better at mastering it. Or, he's being An Arsehole whizzing down streets. He might even have a video camera in hand.

That said... "What'd you get in the way for!?"

Crashing into people- you, even. That's a Thing no matter where he is.

He can also be found at the beach once or twice, if one looks hard enough. Either affixing a waterproof video camera to the harness his feraligatr is wearing, sitting on a rock or bit of driftwood with his nose in a book while he waits for the pokemon to return from hunting, or sitting against the basking croc as he looks over the footage with an honest grin of excitement.

Maybe even a laugh or two. "Arceus! This is great! It's going up on the 'net!"

Yea, that probably the most confused crocodile sound ever.

But, once night falls, Nikolai can be found with his haunter out, going from alley to alley and directing the ghost to prey on any of the rats there. The bodies, still fresh, are tossed to his golbat, the vampire bat greedily sucking down the blood. Or perhaps it's just him walking late at night while the pokemon flies above, working of its meal and getting some exercise.

The one constant is that he's probably letting this music play, though at a reduced volume. Or, he's being obnoxiously loud with it.

Even though he technically doesn't have much money at the moment, Hans Gruber is definitely a man who looks as though he does, wearing his £3000 designer suit, hair and beard impeccably trimmed, his entire general demeanor screaming wealth and privilege.

The marketplace is a busy one, but he doesn't appear to be taking as much note of the crowd as he is of the vendors and their merchandise, seemingly engrossed in a display of silk ties... until suddenly, he isn't, whirling around, his fingers grabbing a skinny wrist. He fixes the owner of said wrist with a glare as he retrieves his property, his unoccupied fingers plucking his purloined wallet out of the kid's grasp.

"I don't think so," he informs him.

Here's something you won't see every day: Archie actually seriously training Crobat. Not so much he doesn't do it, more he doesn't do it in a public area. Not in a place that reacts so weirdly to Pokémon.

He's standing and watching it fly around in certain patterns.

"Brave Bird, then duck and Cross Poison in the opposite direction."

On occasion Eda can be found around De Chima's streets. (It helps to know the streets you drive also... she admits to really liking the bars and the clubs around the area. She's outside of a nearby restaurant, deciding whether or not to have a meal before she hits the bars. It's early though, and her eyes and ears are still sharp. Eda's effortlessly blended in the Import cities, looking like a civilian 'bad girl' in high heels, tight fitting clothes and cat-eye sunglasses on top of bleach blond hair.

She looks vulnerable, up until she turns around and she grabs the strangers wrist. Eda is eerily calm about all this, she's been waiting for something exciting to happen.

"I suggest you back away before I send a fuck ton of kinetic energy through your hand, kid. It would be a shame if you had to witness your hand blowing to pieces."
