now I had to do my best [open]
WHO: Loma, aka Shade, and YOU (open to all)
WHERE: Across imPort cities!
WHEN: Span of a few days.
WHAT: Intro log, as Loma tours the imPort cities.
WARNINGS: None!
Maurtia Falls (toward the evening)
[It's been a couple days since she arrived to this Earth. So far it doesn't seem incredibly different from hers. The lack of Life with Honey is by far the most upsetting aspect, and if that's as bad as it gets then so be it. At least here she can live her life the way she wants to, untethered to the one who used to have this body. This may be better than what she got saddled with on her first try. A fresh start will be good. Maurtia Falls reminds her of the visit she made to Gotham City, or the backstreets of the city she lived in on Meta. It has an energy to it that feels dark and easy to get into, even when the sun is out and it's really hot. And so she spends the day wandering, taking in every sight she can.
However aimless wandering has its downsides. You space out, don't really keep track of where you're going... or the way you came. And she finds herself circling the same areas a couple times before she realizes she has to give up. She doesn't know the way back to her house.
Enter the present moment. She is lying on a bench in the park, coat over her body, ready to sleep outside because she simply has no clue how to get home. Twilight has hit the sky, so not quite dark yet, but the couple people she asked for help gave her directions she couldn't understand. What the hell is a "Rooster Avenue" - hell if she knows. Well at least she's in good company... the pigeons walking right by the bench that is. Help a lost girl out?]
Nonah (in the day)
[Ok, time for unfamiliar territories. Nonah is immediately not as interesting as Maurtia in vibe, but the people seem a lot friendlier. Easier to correspond with. Seems like she came here on a good day too - there's some kind of food festival going on. Lots of vendors selling organic vegetables and fruits. Sounds great.
Well, noooot exactly. She still isn't totally aware of what this body can handle and what it can't. A vendor sells her something called a "Carolina Reaper", advertising it as the spiciest pepper known to mankind. Well she has no clue what peppers are, but she does like spicy food. Which leads to her taking a chunk out of the tiny little thing, crunching and swallowing it. Moments later, her huge mistake yields results.
If it was just minor puking in the middle of the street, a burst of dark rainbow goop coming out her, that would be one thing. However in the moment she's not thinking straight, the shock too goddamn insane to her system. Why the fuck does something that can burn her mouth and scald her tongue even exist?!
And in this shock, Madness comes. Before she can become self-aware of what's happening, the leak of insanity from within begins to overcome and the block is trapped in a collective fever dream hallucination of Loma's making. To the outside observer, people are suddenly screaming about eggplants eating their faces, and running away as fast they can because the broccoli is coming for them. Yet there is absolutely nothing going on out of ordinary.
Yet if someone walks into the chaos, moving toward the center where Loma is, they too will become part of the collective hallucination that has come from her sudden instability. Vegetables coming to life and attacking people from the stands, biting back those who buy and eat them. The sky goes from blue to a red as bright as the pepper she so foolishly ate. Flickers of fire on the street with no smoke, but are hot to the touch and feel real.
At the center is Loma, the source, as black and red circles dazzle around her. And all she can say for this mess is--]
Oh GOD-- Fuck fuck FUCK it's HOT! Why does this EXIST--
[And then she has a little more multi-colored throw-up coming out the back of her throat.]
Heropa + De Chima
[OK. So. Last couple days have not been totally successful. She managed to get out of Nonah before anyone realized she was the one who ruined a perfectly nice festival, but she won't quit. Determination to fight in will win out. She just needs to keep it simple and not overthink her research. She needs information on what the best area is, and where to go, and that can be done no problem if she just asks!
Heropa and De Chima are the last on her list, and for both times she's going to be more proactive. In her mind being proactive means rudely grabbing people by the arm who look like they might know something and asking--]
I need a tour guide, and you're my choice.
[To which the natives she encounter rebuke by shoving her, muttering something about "crazy imPorts", and walking off. Yet she keeps trying, hoping she randomly will get either a kind soul or an imPort that could understand her plight. What's a girl to do when she's new to the planet?]
[ooc: tossing out my permission post as well for anyone who may want to fill it out. gives a brief explanation of her powers.]
