[ Adachi managed to keep himself from turning around, his hands clenched at his sides. He didn't want to see Viktor break (even though he didn't miss the way his smile cracked a little), he didn't want to see him walking away. ]

[ He didn't move until he was sure he heard Viktor walking away far behind him, and even then it was just to clutch at the ache in his chest. ]
