WHERE: :Re Café
WHEN: Beginning of July
WHAT: Meeting new people
WARNINGS: None for now!
[ re: Café is a small coffee shop located in Nonah, open from 4pm to 2am. It can be found at a quiet neighborhood of the city, and not many people would realize it’s a coffee shop at first glance, since it looks more like a place to sell and trade trinkets. Once inside, those trinkets will be obvious: they are everywhere. From a deer head on the wall, to a corner with an old desk with mannequins, re: Café is pretty much like an urban museum, with old and sort of interesting things that give it a strange mix.
If that isn’t enough, there are also shelves with a lot of books. They are old, new, used or not, and they are available to all clients. The collection is varied, and all sorts of genres can be found – even a steampunk styled book called “The Modern Machinist: A Practical Treatise on Modern Machine Shop Method”. Clients can pick them from the shelves, or even trade or offer some new books with the café (just ask which ones you can take; some are Kaneki’s personal collection).
This coffee shop is special for many reasons, but most people say it's because the owner is a known cannibal - ghoul, they call him - and it's no surprise there are many rumors about the place, from “the owner serves human flesh to his clients” to “you can find eyes floating inside your drink”. However, there is no proof of such, not even an Instagram photo. In fact, the owner seems pretty nice in general.
While wearing his uniform, Kaneki is seen preparing cute latte art, reading a book when he has time, or being kind and gentle to his clients. He smiles a lot and seems to have a lot of patience towards the groups of fangirls that show up at the place after school, almost everyday. In fact, that's what he is doing right now: he is at the counter making latte art while 5 teenage girls sit in front of him, giggling a bit as they watch. When he is done, he hands the cut to one of the girls with a smile, and that's when they start to ask him all sort of questions as fast as they can. Poor Kaneki can just smile awkwardly. Children pls. ]
