Rooftop Convention

[There is still a thrill to it, even if some days he looks for entertainment elsewhere, in a faster lane. Even so, the old-fashioned methods of scoping out a target, memorising patterns, making plans, he won't ever truly tire of it. Excitement, but at the same time a familiarity that is almost a comfort.

It's not that surprising, given that, that he takes some time to simply sit on the edge of a roof, one foot on the ledge, knee pulled to his chest so he can prop his head on it, arm slung around his leg.

What he doesn't really expect is to be joined by someone, so his eyebrows actually go up in surprise, changing into a slow smirk when she's close enough.]

[Sometimes it's nice to just get out in the city. Run around the rooftops, explore and totally not spend time scoping out places that might have nice things in them. There are also certainly not plans being made to break into those places either. Old habits die hard. She isn't expecting to run into someone out here. Who besides her would be hanging out on a rooftop?

When she does, she's a little on edge. At least until she realizes that she knows exactly who it is. She decides to approach then, grinning when Len says something to her]

It is. Quiet and dark with no rain. Can't beat that. So, what brings you out here tonight? Business or just bored?

[Once more she has one on him, as he doesn't recognise her. However, that hardly seems to faze him. Given where they are, this is far from the most surprising thing that could happen. Lady on the roof, someone who definitely knows how to handle herself there. He can roll with that.]

Boredom, so I thought about doing some business. What about you?

[The catsuit helps. Kind of hard to recognize someone wearing a costume with most of their face covered]

Same. I got sick of being inside so I thought I'd get some fresh air. Explore the city, see the sights, you know how it is. It's been pretty boring so far, though. I know I said I liked the quiet but it's been a little too quiet.

We get some excitement every now and then, but mostly I gotta go out and make my own. Same old.

[He moves around, turning so both feet are on the ground and one hand on the ledge, the other loosely wrapping around his upper arm.]

What do you like to do for excitement? Although if your costume is a clue, maybe I can gues.

There's probably a lot of things people would guess based on this costume.

[And she's heard them all before]

Anyway, it's usually a lot like this. Though it usually involves more breaking into other people's houses. Sometimes a museum or two. You know, normal stuff.

Yeah?

[He lets his eyes wander over the costume once more, then ends up in a shrug.]

Seems like my guess was right. Takes one to know one.

[Even if he is lacking in the skintight costume department. His jeans are still very tight, for what it's worth.]

Hitting up anywhere tonight or are you on the way home?

It's some sort of internal security measure or something. Or maybe we're just really obvious. Who can say.

[They're probably just really obvious. Whatever]

It wasn't in the plans but plans change all the time. At the very least, I was thinking of checking some places out. Haven't really gotten to know the city yet.

Don't believe in subtlety. Just in not getting caught.

[And that he is good at.]

You tell me your interests and I can maybe recommend a place or two. Show you around. What's it for you, shiny things, art, shiny art?

Truth be told, I'm not that great at subtlety either. Not getting caught, though, I'm pretty good at. [Except for that one time she ended up in prison and Harley had to kidnap her out. Let's not talk about that]

Shiny, expensive things. Anything rich people who don't ask questions would pay a lot of money for. Even better if there's a safe or security system involved. [She loves cracking safes and outsmarting security systems. It's been a while. And she probably shouldn't even be a part of this conversation because of the whole "reformed" thing but...eh, she's bored]

Seems like we've something in common aside from choice of venue.

[He nods and checks his watch, then looks out over the city and smiles.]

I know a place you might like and I even know some rich people who are not that peculiar about where you got things from.

[Sure, competition, but it's not as if he's that established in the city just yet and, well. He doesn't have a partner here right now.]
