Yeah, probably. I can't remember the last time my hair wasn't super short. Man, I was probably still just a kid the last time I let my hair down, so to speak.

[ but in any case, kaneki shakes his head a bit ] I can't say I'm a supporter of the government but, it can't be easy having to deal with super-powered people and our consequences. [ not just the bad apples, but how their presence affects this country, the others, the war, everything. ] I don't envy their jobs.

No, I don't either. I mean, where I come from superhumans have been around since before I was born, they've had time to figure out the whole dealing with them thing. Heck, our president is a former Agent of SHIELD. [a pause when he realizes that means nothing to people not from a world like his.] They're a government agency that kind of deals with superhuman people, when not spying and fighting this one specific group of former Nazis called HYDRA over and over again. [Comic books!]

I've heard of SHIELD. I mean, not from my world - but some imports mentioned it, I believe. [ kaneki hums ] it seems like many imPorts came from your world.
Anyway, maybe this government could learn something from yours.

It's not mine exactly. I'm the only one from my world. I think I've figured out there are three parallel Earths that would have a SHIELD, mine and two similar but not exact to mine.
[There's actually four but who's counting?]
Mine only really figured it out after years of superheroes and villains. I mean, they've been around longer than I've been alive.
