"Are you okay?" Karen puts the fan-made doujin back onto the table and steps away from it, moving a little closer to Joaquin to grab his attention. She looks at him a touch worriedly, too.

"Sorry... I forget a lot of other people are uncomfortable with this stuff, too."

He shakes his head, still getting over being... mildly horrified that he might have bought himself a ton of porn already.

"Please, don't apologize. I'll... get over it soon." Hopefully. Damn, now he remembers he helped L'Arachel buy a lot of this too. They were both in for a great time once they got home and actually looked at it. "I just..."

Joaquin clears his throat, trying to compose himself. "One would think you would need to have a more secure location to sell things like this."

She gestures to an entirely different table where the sellers have stickers, pins, buttons and small postcard-like images with various superheroic imPorts and famous pop culture icons.

"They're not breaking any rules by selling these. They're not forcing it onto anyone..." So while she may not like a lot of the graphic images and what they depict, she can't do anything about it but pretend it doesn't exist. "There's a lot of other things to see, though. You into pins?"

"That's... true." Anyone was free to come in and browse at their own risk, then. He supposed that was fair, though there were lots of kids around. Heck, Joaquin didn't even want to see a lot of that and he was an adult!

The mention of pins, however, piques his interest. "I'm very fond of medals, which are kinda similar. Did you see any particular ones you like? I haven't picked any up yet myself..."

He had gotten distracted by the bigger merch.

"I haven't gotten anything myself yet," she admits, though those pins are temptingly cute. They aren't expensive either, so she could grab a few and decorate a bag or jean jacket of hers with them if she wants to.

Her eyes never seem to settle on any particular table for long, as if she's looking for something very specific — which she is.

"There was something I was looking for, but I haven't found it yet."

"They're all pretty cute..." Honestly, Joaquin was more of a medals kind of guy. They had a deep meaning behind each one, a job well-done, a thank you at every tiny shine. But maybe he would see one that Maria would like. Or Manolo.

"Something in particular, huh? Could you describe it? Maybe I could help you look."

"Oh, well..." Her response is sheepish sounding at first, almost as if she's somewhat embarrassed. She sort of is, but Joaquin wouldn't understand what her hesitation was anyway.

"If you see anything with a big, red 'S'? Let me know."

"A red 'S' huh?" He glances around as if he might see it right then and there, but of course not. He chuckles.

"That doesn't sound too difficult to notice. I'll give the booths all a check as I hit them up." And he planned on hitting ALL of them.
