Science is finding explanations for stuff. But to harness it... that's technology, isn't it?

[He's thought about this a lot already, actually. Ever since way back when Wally insisted it was a scientific process rather than a magical one, he's been curious.]

Well... I don't know, really. Is a natural ability considered technology? It's hard to say. It's all semantics in the end, I guess.

My family? No. My family wouldn't know what powers were if you turned a duck into a chicken in front of them.

[Riku's opinion of his family is not all that endearing.]

There was a guy... when I was a little kid, I met a person on the beach, and he did a -- I guess you'd call it a ceremony. He passed the ability to me.

[He squints at him -- what's confusing about that? -- but then shrugs and leans his head back.]

Then I'm granted the title of Keyblade Master. My friend told me it expands your powers somehow, like... I think of it as, the Mark of Mastery opens another... set of skills? I'm not sure how to describe it.

[He considers this, and then he's laughing. He's right.]

Okay, well, maybe. I think the way I said it had something to do with that too, though. I promise you I'm not full of shit.

[To a casual observer, he looks completely blank and unimpressed. To people more familiar with Tetsuo, there's a slight upward twitch to his lips before he settles firmly back into a flat stare.]

Well, anyway. I'm assuming there's... some kind of proper inheritance ritual. But there's almost no one with that knowledge left, so we'll see how it goes, I guess.
