As long as you're aware. [still giving the equipment in Cisco's hand a suspicious look-over. But far be it from him to get in the way of reckless ventures - Rincewind is much better at getting out of them.

He waves a hand at the younger man, signaling a go-ahead. The Luggage toddles over, seemingly curious about what's going on. Rincewind grimaces, glancing back at Cisco.]

I suppose the real question is which pocket dimension you're trying to look into. As far as I can tell, there's one set where it puts things I can retrieve later...

[he swallows.]

...And there's one involving teeth. And nothing has ever come back from that one.

[pobrecisco]

...Do the teeth actually chew things up? Because that might make it hard for this to actually work.

[ He's very carefully inspecting the Luggage when it comes closer, though. ]

[wizzardly]

[Rincewind manages a grim sort of smile.]

Not unless whatever it's eating tries to fight back.

[the Luggage creaks its lid up just enough to give the impression of a grin.]

[pobrecisco]

I promise my camera won't fight back.

[ That's really unsettling, but he still turns the the GoPro and flashlight on and holds it forward for the Luggage, a little like one would hold a treat out for a dog to sniff. ]

[Rincewind steps back a little, like he fully expects something terrible to happen and wants to be able to run away quickly enough to claim plausible deniability.

The Luggage doesn't need to be given instructions - things held in front of its lid are for consuming, that Is Just How Things Are. So the moment Cisco holds up the camera the Luggage is opening its lid, waiting for the drop. It unfolds its tongue like a red carpet, wide and wet.]

[pobrecisco]

[ That's deeply disconcerting to see, even if he was expecting it, and Cisco holds his breath as he reaches out to deposit the camera gingerly on the Luggage's tongue, as if he's worried about the sentient trunk equivalent of halitosis. ]

[wizzardly]

[perhaps even more unsettlingly, all that will waft up is the smell of cedar and lavender. No bad breath to be found here, Cisco.

But Rincewind certainly doesn't recommend sticking your hand in further than you need to.

The moment the camera is plopped wetly on its tongue the Luggage rolls it back inside like the world's fleshiest red carpet. Its lid shuts, the gold lining it clacking heavily.]

...Is that it then? [inquires Rincewind, from a safe distance away.]
