What's a Hero Without A Mask?

Working with Papyrus and the hotel staff, Francis knows how to put together a party. He chose a theme of Machiavelli, with rich furnishings and dramatic flowing fabrics. Papyrus added his own touches on top of it, adding that needed spooky air. 

The man himself is in a black suit with this mask, greeting everyone that comes in at the door. Security is checking anyone who comes in for weapons and Francis, if he has doubts about the intentions of the new guest, gives them special attention: using his hypnotism. He'll make sure that everyone is here to behave themselves and enjoy the evening.

[ He sees the grimace and quirks an eyebrow beneath his mask, coming close for him to hear. ] You know, I can get you some sugar for your coffee.

[ There's no need to suffer! ]

[Ah, it's their host and new ambassador... for Nonah, if he recalls correctly. Hermann manages a smile and waves off the offer]

I'm not certain sugar will help the taste any at this point. Creamer would likely go a long way, but I'm attempting to keep up my energy for the rest of the evening.

[Which probably makes him sound somewhere around fifty, he realizes a bit too late] You do seem to have a handle on things here, however.

[ He gives a slight nod at acknowledgement of the refusal.

He does a survey as Hermann makes his comment before looking at him. ]

Oh, thank you. Yes. Very little in the way of hitches which I'm pleased about. And the manager is pretty pleased himself. I like to see a man proud of his efforts.

Well let us hope the rest of the night follows in the same manner. It's difficult not to be skeptical of the security at any public event here.

[Hermann gestures at the chair across from him] Care to join me? I confess I've rather forgotten your last name.

[He hasn't actually, would know it on sight and recalls what letters are in it, if not the order. In any case, he's not going to butcher it]

Unless of course you're needed elsewhere.

[ A nod. ] I'm keeping an eye out.

Urquhart. [ He takes the offer. ] You're a guest, Doctor. Entertaining you is part of a host's duties.

Mr. Urquhart, then. [Probably only going to get that right a limited number of times]

You are impressively observant. Small wonder you're an Ambassador.

[ He can't remember how to say Erk! Heart? Seems like that'd be right up his alley.

He smiles at the compliment. His stick and being chained to Newt gave him away, but he wasn't about to say 'nah, that was easy' to him. ] I hope it reassures you.

Another delicious sip of bitter coffee, hopefully with less obvious distaste this time. The things he does in the name of precaution]

To an extent. But I trust we'll have warning at least, and that's already far more than August's Swear-In could claim.
