[CLOSED]
WHO: Hisoka and Alistair Krei
WHERE: An internet cafe
WHEN: Continued from here
WHAT: Hangin' out and maybe tv.
WARNINGS: None yet. Aside from your usual Hisoka warning.
After some quick information trading Hisoka finds the place Krei is as rather quickly. He hasn't been to this sort of cafe before, let alone to this area even, but he's always been fond of new things and Krei, as well as whatever comes with him, counts as new. Plus he seems like a charming person to talk to and recently that's been difficult to find here. For some reason, people have a difficult time talking to Hisoka! How strange. That and a lot of the imPorts here are...
well.
Boring.
There's many so many conversations he's had that he had to stretch himself to continue with, it's been quite annoying. But Alistair? He hasn't needed to, so what better reason to spend more time with the man.
It's one of his days off so he's dressed comfortably, but hopefully not in a way that will deter the other man from speaking with him further, not that Hisoka bothered with thinking about how his clothing might 'put someone off'. He never has before. His hair red, lipstick a bright yellow and earrings in with small black upside down crosses on them. He's a bit of a sight, though the residents of this world are getting more and more familiar with strange imPorts at least.
His walks is a saunter, wearing yellow heels (not the shoes displayed in image) to add to his height, but struts it like a champ. Seems like a lot of work to go into describing his looks but well, it says one thing, all of it. He's a man of fanfare, appearances. He likes to make an impression, bad or good. And he'll give a calm smile when he finally takes a seat next to the other man.
"You're lucky I'm registered, I'm not sure you'd be worth all the travelling I'd have to do to get here otherwise."

"Me, specifically? I thought you’d come for Mister Gordon Ramsay, but it’s nice to know what effort you did extend was for me."
He shuts his laptop a little abruptly, folding his hands over the lid as his companion settles into the seat beside him. He hadn’t yet stopped looking. He probably would, soon, but there really was a lot of Hisoka to take in.
"Oh."
Realization. There’s a beat of silence, and Krei finally moves to retrieve the drink menu and pass it to Hisoka. He was already half-way through a mug of spiced caramel and apple. Not his usual drink, but could you really go wrong with something that contained apple and caramel?
"So that’s why you used a star and teardrop. I thought you were trying to convey tearful boredom or something."
no subject
He'll notice how he's looked at, as he always does, he enjoys seeing how different people react after all, even if that isn't quite the point of dressing like this. He's comfortable in these clothes, and he likes colour, so he'll stay true to his own desires.
"Mm." Taking the menu, he'll cross his legs, diverting his attention to it. Unconsciously he looks to the apple and caramel drink on the menu, maybe the drink sitting there just... looked too good, smells good at least, definitely.
"An aesthetic choice. If I'm bored I'll stop replying all together, not use an emoticon to express it."
no subject
He takes notice of the interest in his drink and picks it up by the middle, lifting it so Hisoka can better smell the sweet, fruity concoction. The caramel doesn't quite overwhelm, but it's stronger than the apple.
"It's some sort of apple, caramel abomination. You should give it a try." He leans over to trace a finger down the drinks menu. Down down down, until he reaches the correct price. "I would suggest something alcoholic, seeing as it's past six, but their selection is rather limited. They only offer bottled drinks here."
It is a cafe, so that's no surprise. They probably don't want people getting unruly.
no subject
"Well maybe later then, I'm here for the company now anyway. We'll see if anything sticks. Then- perhaps something a little more 'adult rated'." A chuckle, lifting his chin a little.
"I don't mind cafe's though, anything with sweets usually goes well with my tastes. Are you the same?"
no subject
"Somewhat. With the sweets, at least. Visiting places like this," with the hand that wasn't holding his drink, he gestures to the homely interior of the cafe. "Is a little more new to me. I had the sort of job where mingling with the general population would have been abnormal, and probably dangerous."
He sips his drink, and then sets it down on his knee.
"What did you do before you arrived here?" Arching an eyebrow, Krei looks Hisoka up and down again. "I'd try to make an educated guess, but I'd probably be wrong."
no subject
"'General public', so then you're an important individual, back home I mean? How is it, living under that ceiling now?"
A chuckle, tilting his head, he looks back at him, puckering his lips a little.
"I'm interested in that guess, tell me anyway."
no subject
He kind of looks like a clown, too, but it doesn’t seem like the sort of occupation Hisoka would go for, and it had already been implied that Hisoka was a fighter.
"…Magic mercenary?" Not an exact answer, but close enough.
He continues on before Hisoka can answer. "Being removed from wealth and a position of influence has been frustrating, but I suppose the experience will help me in the long run. Assuming I manage to find a way to keep my memories when I’m made to leave here, that is."
no everything here's fine, the quote marks are around what he's saying.
"Mercenary? Oh, but I have no interest in money." Smiles, tilting his head. He replies to it after he's finished, continuing on.
"Someone of influence? Tell me more about what you did then. What 'influence' you had." Lids low, smile more of a grin now. "That's the sort of thing I'm really interested in."
no subject
Oh dear.
Krei takes a much longer sip of his drink when he comes to that conclusion, and he really wishes it were alcohol.
"I owned one of the largest tech companies in a world that was highly tech orientated. Men like me 'ran the world', supposedly, but that wasn't a side of things I dabbled in much." Much, because he had, and he isn't especially proud of that. "I was more interested in using my time and money to pioneer new technology."
Sorry, been slow with moving. Been... a process.
A smile, watching him take that looong sip. He doesn't know the reason, but he notices it over all. The look Krei gives, how unnaturally long that drink is, even by a few seconds or not. Social queues are quite important.
"So definitely a downgrade, how unfortunate for you." There was another man like that, Stark, right? Tony Stark. He wonders if this man knows of him yet. Not that Stark 'runs' the world at all, but he certainly gets a nice seat on it. "Will you be so ambitious here?"
Np! I've been just as slow!
"I'm biding my time." He shrugged a shoulder. "I'm comfortable now, doing something I enjoy – or I will be soon, anyway, so I feel no real need to hurry."
If all goes well, he'll build a fully functioning portal well before the end of the year and be able to go home.
"So," he turns a smile on Hisoka. "How long did it take you to get where you are?"
no subject
"Doing something you enjoy? Anymore on that or is it just left to my imagination?"
A pause, sitting back a little.
"Where I am now?" A smirk. "29 years." Good joke, right? And you get his honest age, what a rare thing, treasure it.
