WHERE: De Chima, then on the road
WHEN: June 10 - *waves hand vaguely cough*June17*cough*
WHAT: A bunch of teenagers pile into two cars and road trip to California
WARNINGS: exactly what you'd expect on a cross country road trip - a lot of yelling at some point



Months of planning and coordination and the day finally came this road trip could start. De Chima #1 has Akihiko's smaller car and a larger rental van parked outside and both half-loaded with luggage, camping gear, coolers and room for everyone else's things. Tadashi himself is sporting bags under his eyes from having gone and bailed the Pines twins and their uncle out of Heropa jail and taken them home in the wee hours of the morning before finally getting a few good solid hours of sleep. It only hit him the day before that half the trip goers likely haven't met the other half...

It should be fine. Until everyone gets there and packed and ready, he's just going through his phone's map and gps to make sure he's got the route taken care of.

[Gogo leans against the counter, waiting for her morning coffee, and watches with increasing amusement as Tadashi orders his drinks.

It's not Tadashi specifically she's watching, however. It's the poor barista who just about has literal stars in her eyes, hanging off his every oblivious word.

Did she just bat her eyelashes? Oh my god, she did.

Gogo discreetly holds up her phone and presses record.]

[ Hiro leans in too. Since Gogo's already recording, he doesn't have to, but he's still got to commentate. ]

Oh my god. It's totally happening.

I was wondering how long it would take this time.

I didn't think it'd happen this soon. I want a copy of that video.

[I'm going to make a compilation. How many people do you think we can get in on this? I might miss it next time.]

Honey for sure. Oh man, get Magicman in on it - he's always hanging out in Tadashi's comm. He could just record it from there.

I missed out on an entire year, so Honey'd have better stories, but it was kind of absurd.

I remember one day we were helping out for a freshman orientation and I swear every single one of them had stars in their eyes for him. Every thing he said was gospel that day.

Man, I bet. I've seen him with customers at the café.

It is a truly special kind of obliviousness.

And I guarantee if I walked over there and suggest that he should have gotten her number, the first thing out of his mouth is probably going to be that she's just very nice.

Dude, I would lose that bet if I took it. For sure.

[Taps off the camera after the barista's last attempt at presumably offering Tadashi her soul, and slips her phone back in a pocket as if absolutely nothing was going on. Just in case the poor guy was even awake enough to notice them standing there whispering.]

I wonder if any of the face characters will try.

[ That's too much. He bursts out laughing at the thought of it. ]

Okay, okay. Let's make a bet right here and now. Which ones specifically? Because I'm thinking Aladdin.

I don't know, Flynn seems to be the type to go for that pure 'do the best for everyone' type.

Ha! No kidding. I'd say he was all tied up with Rapunzel though...

Maybe they'll both flirt with him. Get a two for one fairytale deal.

If they both do it, let's go halves on the biggest, most ridiculous junk food item they have.
