Movie Marathon.

WHEN: May Saturday 16th (before the undead plot)
WHAT: Glitch has invited you all to a marathon of movies. The invitations may be very sparkly...obviously someone else made them.
WARNINGS: Maybe swears and horror movies.


On the inside, the living room is covered in streamers of every color of the rainbow and more banners. Clearly, Glitch left all the decorating to someone else since he feels this is pretty over kill.

There is a table dedicated to food and drink, bowls of chips and popcorn, great heaping helpings of gummy worms, soda cans all stacked at the opposite end of the table. Booze apparently is not available because no one will let a fifteen year old try the tastier stuff.

Beside on the tv is a small table loaded with movies of varying variety. Horror, Action, Adventure, Animated, thriller, every kind you can think of. A selection is even provided from this list.

Mingle, watch, do what you want. It's all for the benefit of this kid wanting to know what he missed out on.

[ Meanwhile, Honey is throwing home-popped popcorn (snack brought as promised) into her mouth with wide eyes - occasionally, she actually misses her mouth since her attention is so captivated. Speaking so quietly, Honey does not hear Glitch. However, she does ironically say: ] Space is so amazing. [ Even if this is a hollywood dramatized version of it. ]

Alien

[ Glitch occasionally reaches over into the bowl of popcorn to stuff his face. Sometimes he misses completely because he can't stop staring. He does look over Honey at her comment, looking slightly horrified at that comment. ]

How is that amazing? We just saw that thing burst out of that guy's chest! [Looking back to the screen he continues to fidget and mutters:]

God, I would've just left 'em out there on that rock.

I know! Wasn't that great? [ But to answer his question rather than to ignore it - ] The whole killer alien aspect is scary, but the possibility of something like this actually existing is what's amazing! People could think of… [ She moves her hands in circular motions near her head as if coaxing a thought out. ] …well, anything! Anything at all. And it could exist somewhere.

[ He'd want to take an adventure inside this girl's mind. It sounds like an interesting place...but he's also afraid of what he'd find there.

The look she gets is, concerned.]

I can get behind the creativity aspect of it with someone actually thinking this up, but it probably existing somewhere? That's freaking frightening. I mean, what if something like that came here?

[ Honestly, it's possible... and then another scare, which makes him jump.]

Oh thank god, it's just the cat.

[ She raises a finger as if to make a point, but there is a lull. ] Hm. That would be bad. But the chances of that have to be minuscule! I'm sure we won't have to worry about it. [ Maybe something similar to it, but not exactly like it. That's probable. She leaves this observation out, however.

When Glitch jumps, she can't help but do the same from the sudden shock. At the mention of it being a cat, she laughs. ]

Whew! And not an alien!

[It's mumbled, but he says it: ]Pretty sure everyone was saying that about the dragon.

[ He eyes the orange cat in the screen, frowning deeply. ]

God, come on, Ripley just leave it and go. It can be a distraction for the Alien!

[ She hand waves the comment, keeping her positive attitude. ] A dragon is more general than this specific Alien. Besides - [ Glancing over at Glitch, she smiles optimistically. ] - we could take on something like this if it came here! It's no much for a whole bunch of superheroes.

[ If someone could weaponize that attitude they probably could end this war off that power.

He'll agree with her on that.]

Yeaaaah, true. We'd probably kill it in like ten seconds flat. Provided we aren't in space since acid blood.

[honeyxlemon]

[ There's a light front at that. She wouldn't want to kill it…just find a way to detain it until it can be sent home.

But if it really did look like something out of a horror film and was that dangerous..

She'll cross that bridge if they ever get there. ]

That would be something else. [ Actually being in space with a thing like this? Actually horrifying. ] At least we would know what to do if we encountered something like the movie Alien, even in space.

[ Don't worry, he'll cross the bridge for her...and everyone. No way is he going out like a punk. ]

Yeah. Like not investigate the signal like a bunch of morons.

[ Sounds like something she would actually do, to be honest. And she knows it.

Hence the sort of sheepish look. ]

Right! Yeah! [ Even after realizing that it could be foolish..she'd still probably do it.

Just in case it wasn't a killer Alien. ]

But if we did, we'd be prepared.

[ Glitch catches that look.

Yup. She is not invited on any space missions involving alien monsters. ]

Suppose you're right. I mean, you guys gotta have better tech than what they got, right? Cameras also probably wouldn't go out over some dust.

[honeyxlemon]

Way better tech! And you're right, a lot of that stuff is just for Hollywood. [ Note the vague hand gestures for "Hollywood". ] We'd be fine! [ As she keeps reassuring.

Which may show that perhaps it wouldn't be as easy to take care of ask much as they would help.

And oh lovely, the Alien is making its third and fourth kill, and Honey, despite being unsure of what would happen in an actual attack from this thing, is still grinning away. ]

Hollywho? [ Yeah, he's not quite sure what that is, but le shrug. Not very important he thinks. ]

Good to know.

'kay you're back on the monster killing team. [ Not...that he said she was ever off it. Woops.

Now it looks like the movie is winding to it's finally with Lambert's screams and Ripley running through the corridors. ]

Well, this makes it easier for her now. Shitty, but easier.
