[closed] it's much too dangerous to keep that plant alive

WHO: Agent Venom (Flash Thompson) & Karen Starr (Power Girl)
WHERE: Starrware Industries
WHEN: 1/26
WHAT: The problem with hosting an alien in your body is that you never know what it might decide to do...
WARNINGS: Secret identities, cannibalistic alien symbiote, awkward jock behavior possible.

[ He hadn't meant to put it off. If there's one thing Flash takes very seriously, it's keeping the alien who's made a home of his body in check. He'll die before he allows it to escape to another host; he'll die without it, they've told him, which seems very likely true. Their alliance is uneasy, if at least stable, but there's a lot he doesn't know and a lot he can't account for and...things he can't talk about, with the scientists he knows. He can't ask a four-year-old to help, even if she is a supergenius. And he can't tell Peter, because Peter Parker is Spider-Man, and would object to the sort of measures Flash is willing to take to keep the thing under control.

They're pretty far. They're not the sort of things you want to tell your best friend about.

So, in preparation for what he worries is probably inevitable, he's got to turn to someone else in the wake of Dr. Pym's disappearance. Ms. Starr seems like a serious person, hopefully trustworthy; he hadn't gotten a bad vibe from her during their conversation. Nothing that suggested greed, or diabolical plans underfoot, but hey, presenting her with the symbiote would probably be a good way to ferret those out fast.

Not that he plans to tell anybody what it really is.
]

Hey, so, uh. [ He sounds awkward. The receptionist looks like she might call the police, even though he's put aside some of the body armor the symbiote makes him to just leave the black, the white, and the spider. No spikes, anyway. ] Ms. Starr told me I could stop by...? It's Agent Venom.

[ Hopefully she meant what he said. Flash thinks now he probably should have called first. At least to avoid awkwardly standing around in the lobby of her business looking like he belongs in a war zone. ]

[ Karen's in the middle of a call with a real estate agent when someone pops into her office with a deeply concerned, but otherwise confused expression and interrupts her to bring up the fact there's "an oddly dressed man in the lobby claiming to have a meeting with you". They also make note their attire is alarming some of the employees and may have worried a couple of civilians outside.

Having half-forgotten about Agent Venom as it had been over a month since they had spoken and never seen each other with no follow-up, Karen rushes down and ignores the questions for now about calling the police.

She'll handle it herself, she says.

When she gets down to the lobby, it's impossible to miss the big guy in black. Her own concern gives away to slight exasperation as the receptionist looks to Karen silently asking what she should be doing. ]

It's... fine. We have a meeting I forgot to pencil in.

[ Her eyes lock on Flash and she lifts a hand, beckoning him with a finger. ]

Nice to see you, finally. Follow me.
