I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor

WHO: Crane and VARIOUS.
WHERE: De Chima and Maurtia Falls.
WHEN: The first half of June.
WHAT: A log.
WARNINGS: Some topics involve dark themes. Will be updated!

A - Open Day

[Thursday morning rolls around and Crane shows up at work just like he's supposed to. There are occasional days here and there where he doesn't turn up at all. Bruce wouldn't appreciate someone reporting in when not in their best mind. But even so he is still a punctual man; he doesn't turn up early and he never turns up late.

There are a number of appointments throughout the month where this will become known. Crane's diary is as well-organized as his workplace. By the time they arrive at Wayne Enterprises in De Chima, people will find nine-o-clock means nine-o-clock sharp.

Crane clears his throat loudly, and though no words are spoken, there's no end of veiled disappointment that his visitor's here at all.]

This way, please.

B - Rogues/Heat Wave

[When the daytime's over, Crane decides it's time to spend his evening in a different city. Why is he skulking around the seediest parts of Maurtia Falls? And who is he expecting to find? Perhaps, he theorizes to himself, he wants a little rough and tumble with a hero. That might stop him feeling so buttoned up.

When clubs open up, he watches people crawl inside, desperate to get that fix that keeps them through work the next morning. He follows the crowd, observing from the outside, bracing himself against the constant loud flow of music and chatter, and singles the weak parts out. Most of the crowd in question doesn't have good self-awareness. He could easily fix their drugs over a good hour and put half of them in a fright.

He could make it happen, so long as nobody saw him.]

C - Late Night/Trickster

[Mick wouldn't be the only rogue Crane met one night.

James Jesse would gatecrash his party of one at a local bar and squeeze into his alcove at half past nine. There would be no acknowledgement for a moment while Crane contemplated his discussions with his fellow rogue. Why his words stuck with him, he didn't quite know. He had to squeeze them out and deny them.

He decides then to place his drink on the table and watch James with bored attention. Disappointingly, he's being asked what he's doing here. Oh well. That gives him the excuse he needs to challenge James's behavior and deny his own. He is in control.]

I came here to meet disreputable people and, oh look, it's you. It seems I succeeded.

D - Wildcard

You're really good at blending in, eh?

[Sarcasm is pretty much the default tone of his voice, so that's hardly surprising here.]

You should try sunglasses, a trench coat and a newspaper with holes in it.
